Emergency Community Appeal: Together, We Can Weather the Storm!
Due to the ongoing government shutdown, SNAP (food stamp) benefits will not be distributed beginning November 1. As a result, countless McKinney families will be left without the support they rely on to feed their loved ones. Already, our phones have been ringing nonstop with calls from parents who are hungry, frightened, and unsure how they will provide their next meal.
For the past 50 years, the Community Food Pantry of McKinney has stood beside our neighbors, offering nourishment and hope to families in crisis. Currently, we serve 600 to 800 individuals every day, and with this shutdown, we expect those numbers to double overnight.
Now more than ever, we are calling on the strength of our community. McKinney has always stepped up in times of need, and together, we can ensure that no one goes hungry during this challenging period.
