How have you benefited from being an Ambassador- or comment about your experience – Why are you an Ambassador?:

As an Ambassador you get to see first hand and experience the growth here in McKinney of new businesses that are opening their doors and you learn about what they do and offer. In addition you get to meet your local city officials and you learn how the city functions.

The reason I enjoyed being an Ambassador is meeting new people especially veterans and their families to make them aware of the many resources
available to them.

Tell us a little about you and your family:

I served in the US Army as a medic with the 2nd Armored Division out of Fort Hood, TX. After leaving active duty in 1990 I joined the New York Army
National Guard. In 1992. I joined the New York City Police Department and retired in 2012 as a Special Assignment Sergeant after 22 years of service. On September 11, 2001, I was one of many New York City Police Sergeants along with Police officers who responded to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. I spent over 6 months Including search, rescue and recovery both at the Pile and at the Fresh Kills landfill in Staten Island, N.Y. where all the debris from ground zero was removed too. Following my retirement, I relocated to McKinney in 2012 with my wife Carolyn and my children Christina and Jason both graduates of McKinney North.
