How you have benefited from being an Ambassador, or comment on your Ambassador experience / Why are you an Ambassador? I have been an Ambassador for many years and, each year, I find a new reason to continue. The most enjoyable part of this volunteer position is having the opportunity to meet new businesses and business owners who will be our neighbors in our Community! I also absolutely have the most amazing business community network I have met with fellow ambassadors.
Tell us about your involvement in the Community? I have served for many non-profits throughout McKinney, volunteered at our schools as an MISD Partner in Education, and try to give back locally however possible. I currently also have the honor of sitting as a City Commissioner on the Grants and Housing Board, being a member of the McKinney Rotary Club, serving as Treasurer for Serenity High, serving as Secretary for McKinney Community Food Pantry, serving on the Collin College School of Banking Board as well as volunteering on multiple Chamber committees such as Leadership McKinney Alumni Network and incoming Chair for the Ambassadors.
What are your hobbies? I love to work on our classic cars with my husband and boys in my spare time. Someday we will do this full time in retirement! We love to attend local car shows on the weekends.
Tell us a bit about yourself and your family. I have the blessing of two beautiful boys, one is 21 and a U.S. Marine, the other will be a Sophomore at MHS next year. I have found the love of my life and am happily married. He and I collectively have 6 kids, 4 grandkids, the most amazing dog in the world, a bearded dragon and a beautiful fish tank with fish that have outlasted “Icemageddon” and multiple storms! They must be super happy watching our family!
