Join us at MillHouse McKinney for a special Lunch Bunch conversation about The Bingham Estate with owner and historic restoration enthusiast Erika McWilliams. Erika will share the remarkable story behind this beautifully restored 1883 Georgian-Italianate estate and the journey that led her to become its steward.

Erika discovered her love for historic homes after restoring a 1928 Tudor in Fort Worth’s River Crest neighborhood. After more than 15 years in accounting at Deloitte & Touche LLP and Globe Life Inc., she retired in 2022 to pursue her passion for historic restoration full time.

Today she is the owner and steward of The Bingham Estate, a beautifully restored historic property in McKinney, Texas listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Originally built for Civil War veteran Captain John Henry Bingham, the estate now blends timeless character with modern comforts. The property features a restored main house and six uniquely designed cottages inspired by the Bingham family’s children, along with elegant gathering spaces, a pool, pickleball, and opportunities for meaningful connection.

At this Lunch Bunch, Erika will share the fascinating history of the property, what it takes to restore and preserve historic homes, and how The Bingham Estate has become a place where history, hospitality, and community come together.

If you love architecture, historic preservation, or stories about following a passion later in life, this conversation will be a wonderful opportunity to learn and connect.

Lunch Bunch Speaker Series is an informal conversation around topics of interest to members and nonmembers. Lunch is not provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. All are welcome. The event is free.
