Lunch Bunch The Idea Playground explores the role of play as a powerful ingredient in creativity. In this interactive conversation, we’ll examine creative thinking tools and playful approaches designed to spark imagination and unlock new ideas. MillHouse invites you to explore creativity through one of its most overlooked ingredients: play. In this free lunchtime conversation, Beth Beck, PhD guides participants through the mindset and tools that help imagination thrive—both in creative work and everyday problem-solving.

Play is not a distraction from serious thinking—it’s often what leads to our most innovative ideas. During this session, we’ll look at the building blocks of creative play and introduce simple creative thinking tools that encourage curiosity, experimentation, and new perspectives. The goal is not to arrive at perfect ideas, but to loosen constraints and open the door to possibility.

This Lunch Bunch is designed as an informal, welcoming space for members and nonmembers alike. Bring your lunch, settle in, and join the conversation. No preparation is required—just a willingness to engage, listen, and think differently. Whether you consider yourself creative or not, you’ll leave with insights you can apply to your work, projects, or personal creative practice.

The Idea Playground also serves as a preview of Beth Beck’s upcoming creativity programming at MillHouse in 2026, including the Creativity Bootcamp launching in February. If you’re curious about building stronger creative habits and expanding your imaginative capacity, this session offers a thoughtful introduction.

All are welcome. Lunch is not provided, but you are encouraged to bring your own. The event is free and open to the community at MillHouse McKinney.
