McKinney, Texas – March 26, 2024 – Hope Clinic of McKinney, a trusted provider of free medical, vision, and counseling services to Collin County’s under-resourced and uninsured since 2017, today announced a significant change: the clinic will now operate under the name CommonGood Medical. This change comes as part of the organization’s strategic vision to better represent its evolving services and prepare for future expansion initiatives.
The decision to rebrand as CommonGood Medical reflects the clinic’s commitment to its mission of sharing the love of Christ by partnering with the community to provide quality, compassionate healthcare to our medically under-served neighbors. While the name is changing, the clinic’s dedication to its core values and the community remains steadfast.
A refreshed logo along with a new tag line also accompanies the change – “inspiring hope through comprehensive care.”
“We are excited to introduce CommonGood Medical as the new identity for our organization,” said Dr. Stephen Twyman, Founder and CEO. “While we have a new name, our mission and ethos have not changed. We still believe that all people deserve to be treated with love, dignity, and respect and that doing so benefits the common good of our community.”
Several factors have driven the decision to change the name. As the clinic continues to grow and expand its services, it became increasingly important to distinguish itself from other non-profit organizations and better reflect the breadth of services offered. Additionally, the new name positions CommonGood Medical for future expansion into new locations, ensuring that even more individuals have access to essential healthcare services.
The transition to the new name will be seamless for patients, partners, and supporters. All services, physical location and operations will remain unchanged. However, all emails will change to reflect the new website URL of CommonGoodMedical.org.
