The McKinney City Council has approved a 10-year agreement with the Seed Project Foundation to build McKinney Roots at Gray Branch Park, a community farm on 62 acres of city-owned land. The nonprofit will grow and distribute fresh produce to local nonprofits and churches. Construction must begin by Feb. 1, 2026, or the agreement can be terminated.
