McKinney’s Walmart Supercenter #5211 recently received the Walmart Store of the Year award. The award is given to a store that demonstrates exceptional performance and service to associates and customers.
The award is presented annually to a Walmart store by Walmart’s corporate team in Bentonville, Arkansas, according to the store’s website.
There are 3,559 Walmart Supercenters across the U.S. The McKinney Supercenter that received the award is located at 5001 McKinney Ranch Pkwy.
“I visited this Walmart location looking for two items. One of the associates was assisting another customer but kindly asked me to wait. Once she was available, she walked me through the aisles and pointed me to exactly what I needed,” said one customer in a Google review. “For the second item, she did the same, making my shopping experience smooth.”
Other customers have said the Walmart is well managed and clean.
The Walmart has been serving the community for several years and was remodeled in 2022 to include new checkout lanes, new signage, an upgraded vision center and more. Renovations totaled about $1.4 million.
