A boutique hotel that will provide access to District 121’s office space, restaurants and park will provide guests walkable amenities and an experience not offered in this area of McKinney today.
Hotel Denizen will be a complimentary component of District 121, providing convenient upscale lodging for guests of Kaizen Development’s large office building, said Michael Mueller, President & CEO of Archstreet Hotel Partners LP.
Archstreet McKinney, LLC is building Hotel Denizen and Archstreet Hotel Partners LP serves as their parent company.
“The hotel guests will be patrons of the restaurants at District 121, users of the co-working space at the offices at District 121 and visitors to the park at District 121, which will help ensure that District 121 is vibrant and financially successful,” Mueller said.
The hotel is currently in the design development phase and officials hope to start construction in the summer of 2023 and open in the fall of 2024.
“Having a unique boutique hotel in District 121 has always been our goal and Michael’s 102 key-hotel is exactly what we were looking for,” said Miles Prestemon, Chief Operating Officer at Craig International and President of its Development Division. “Michael worked with us on the orientation of the hotel towards our iconic park and of course hospitality is a key component for our existing 200,000 square foot, eight-story office tower and our 38,000 square feet of restaurant centric retail.”
