Name of Business: First United Bank
Location: Craig Ranch McKinney, Texas
Tell us about your business: First United Bank began as a family-owned community bank and through the years has remained a neighborly, community-oriented business where people are treated like family. As a Commercial Banker, I help inspire and guide business owners of all size businesses to have the tools and financial partnership to Spend Life Wisely. Whether I am helping a small family owned business, an individual entrepreneur or a large corporation, I love to be the partner that can help guide them through all the ups and downs of business finances.
How have you benefited from being an Ambassador- or comment about your experience – Why are you an Ambassador?: Having been an Ambassador for the past 7 years, I have learned so much about my Community and our local businesses’ needs. Being an Ambassador, for me, is an honor to be the first group of people to officially welcome new businesses and show them why McKinney is such a unique and great place to be!
Tell us about your involvement in the community: I serve on many local nonprofit boards as well as spend a lot of time volunteering with many local organizations. I also have been an MISD Partner in Education for 6 years and give back to our local school district. I have the honor of serving on the Serenity High Advisory Board, the McKinney YMCA Advisory Board, and recently took the honor of being the Leadership McKinney Alumni Network Steering Committee Chairperson. Giving back to our city is a passion and driving force in my life that enables me to be better at my career and to be a true Community Leader.
What are your hobbies? When I am not working or volunteering I love to work on classic cars with my boys and enjoy the outdoors. I have become a fan of classic rock concerts as so many great bands have come through Dallas the past 2 years.
Tell us a little about you and your family: I have the honor of being a mom to my 2 wonderful boys. My oldest graduated McKinney Boyd this year and is entering the US Marine Corps program this winter. My youngest is a 7th grader here in MISD and part of the GT program. My boys founded a non-profit during COVID for teen suicide prevention and they do a lot online to promote that. I also have a full house of animals, including a 70 pound puppy, 2 large freshwater fish tanks, a cat that thinks she is a dog and a bearded dragon that I get to raise with my wonderfully talented and sweet fiance’.
