How have you benefited from being an Ambassador- or comment about your experience – Why are you an Ambassador?:
Being an Ambassador for the McKinney Chamber affords many opportunities to meet not only new businesses that join the chamber, but also connect and introduce CommonGood Medical to all Chamber members. It’s always fun to attend ribbon cuttings, as you really get to see what’s new to our community. And, having the opportunity to make calls to established members before they renew is a great way to talk one-on-one with another business and possibly discover ways to help one another! The Ambassador program is a great way to meet outreach goals for marketing and promoting your business, while being an active part of the McKinney business community!
Tell us about your involvement in the Community? As the Director of Development for CommonGood Medical, I get the opportunity to represent our nonprofit at lots of different community events. Over the years, I’ve belonged to several community organizations and served on various nonprofit boards including Plano’s Art Centre, Plano Metro Rotary Club, The Junior Leage of Plano (now Collin County), Walnut Creek (CA) Christian Academy PTO, Lovejoy High School Choir Boosters, and Family Promise of Collin County. Back in 1997, I collaborated with Plano’s Heritage Farmstead Museum as the author of Plano: An Illustrated Chronicle. Currently, I’m an active member at Cottonwood Creek Church, where I serve in the Connections Ministry and alongside my Deacon husband, who also teaches the Legacy Builder’s Life Group.
What are your hobbies? : I love hanging out with family, friends, and my fur babies; traveling; riding roller coasters & other thrill rides; eating Puffy Tacos whenever I get back to San Antonio, and window shopping!
Tell us a little about you and your family: I’m originally from San Antonio and a graduate of Texas Tech with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations. My husband, Brad, and I have been married for almost 38 years and we have been blessed with an amazing daughter and son, both of whom are now grown, off the payroll (LOL!) and married to equally amazing spouses! My heartbeat is that all who know me, know that I’m an imperfect person, saved by grace, but yet, by my words and actions, they feel the love of Christ, as my purpose in this life is to glorify Him!
