In a recent meeting, the McKinney City Council unanimously voted to permit golf carts on city streets with speed limits of 35 mph or less, expanding their previous limited use. Additionally, the council approved a rezoning request for a 15.7-acre site at the southeast corner of Wilmeth Road and Community Avenue, paving the way for a multifamily residential project with up to 460 units. An industrial development on a 143-acre tract east of McDonald Street also received approval, allowing for the construction of over one million square feet of warehouse space.
