The City of McKinney and McKinney Main Street have launched a free downtown trolley service, operating Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. This service, reminiscent of McKinney’s historic interurban railway, offers a convenient and enjoyable way to explore the Historic McKinney introduces a free downtown trolley service in the Historic Downtown Cultural District, operating Thursdays to Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. “This initiative provides a convenient and enjoyable way for residents and visitors to explore downtown,” said Andrew Jones, Director of the Cultural District and McKinney Main Street. The trolley route, approximately 20 minutes long, is ADA-compliant and reflects McKinney’s historic interurban railway.
