MCKINNEY – Megan Gallegos, DNP, BS, RN, NEA-BC, has been named chief nursing officer (CNO) for Medical City McKinney, starting Oct. 2.
With 14 years of nursing experience, Gallegos has served as CNO of Medical City Lewisville since 2019. She began her career as an intensive care nurse with HCA Healthcare, the parent company of Medical City Healthcare, and has served in progressive leadership roles, including director of critical care, administrative director of emergency services and assistant chief nursing officer.

Gallegos earned a Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Nursing Executive Administration and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Oklahoma State University. She is Nurse Executive Advanced-Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and an active member of the Texas Organization of Nurse Executives and the American Organization of Nurse Leaders (AONL). Gallegos is a graduate of HCA Healthcare’s Executive Development Program, an HCA Healthcare Innovator Award recipient for service excellence and a 2023 AONL Young Professionals honoree.
