We’re starting to see something concerning in our industry: companies generating HVAC “repair photos” using AI.
If a contractor has to create repair images instead of showing real job photos, it raises important questions:
1. Do they actually perform these types of repairs?
2. Do they have hands-on experience with the work?
3. Are they truly a repair-focused company?
4. Or are they marketing services they don’t regularly (or ever) perform?
Real HVAC companies have real documentation… before, during, and after photos from actual job sites. Not stock images. Not AI renderings. Not “representations.”
In industries where safety, liability, and property damage are involved, documentation matters. Experience matters. Transparency matters. AI is a powerful tool and can be used for improving operations, drafting entertaining content, and even streamlining communication. It should never be used to mislead customers into believing a company has experience or credibility performing work that never happened.
Regardless of who services you, we encourage you to look for these things when choosing an HVAC contractor. By doing so, you can have confidence that your system is handled responsibly.
