The Museum offers free admission
The Collin County History Museum is 100% free to visit. The museum is open year-round, Thursday – Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. You can also reserve a time for a tour on their website here. Special tours can also be scheduled for Monday – Wednesday if requested. There is free parking around the Historic Downtown Square and a free parking garage across the street from the museum.
The building is a part of McKinney’s history
The museum is located in the 1911 historic post office building. This is one of several buildings from McKinney’s past that have been converted into modern businesses throughout the Historic Downtown Square.
