Step inside TUPPS in McKinney, and you’ll see it’s more than beer. From craft brews and cocktails to a full kitchen and a small-business incubator, TUPPS is crafting a destination where flavor, fun and community collide.
“In the early stages of craft beer people would visit breweries in dingy warehouses looking for artisan craft beer.” Owner Keith Lewis said. “Now, they want A.C. great food, fantastic beer and a delicious cocktail option after they’re full. They also want an environment that offers events including music, movies, and a craft shopping experience. The market evolved, so we evolved with it.”
From garage hobby to McKinney landmark
What started as a Christmas gift—a home beer kit for Keith, the founder—has grown into a bustling brewery with nearly 11 years of history. After starting in a small warehouse, TUPPS relocated to a larger McKinney location two years ago.
The new location features:
- A sprawling 4.5-acre property
- A full kitchen offering elevated casual bites
- Expanded drink offerings
- Six small businesses at The Silos
- Indoor and outdoor seating for events and private parties
Beyond beer: Cocktails at TUPPS
While craft beer built the brand, TUPPS has recently launched its own line of cocktails and spirits. Using high-quality imported spirits, TUPPS proofs, bottles and serves them on site.
Highlighted spirits include:
- Vodka: Used in Moscow Mule, Bloody Mary and Nitro Espresso Martini
- Agave spirit: Used in Mill District Margarita, Texas Paloma and Ranch Water
- Bourbon whiskey: Used in Old Fashioned, Whiskey Sour and TUPPS Peach Tea
“Our new cocktails give people a reason to try something different while enjoying their favorite flavors,” Head Brewer Chris Lewis said. “And you’ll want something delicious to pair with them—like our signature burgers or soft pretzels.”

Perfect pairing bites
The new site’s food menu, curated over two years, features comfort fare that pairs well with beer or cocktails. Signature items include:
- Handhelds: Includes the smash burger, turkey club and catfish po’boy
- Shareables: Includes the bavarian pretzel, garlic humus and loaded fries
- Salads: Includes caesar, apple pecan and house
- Desserts: Includes pretzel bread pudding and full-grown man brownie
“We have casual food—things that pair with a drink and feel approachable,” Chris Lewis said.

Sip, eat and shop
The most unique aspect of TUPPS is the Build-Your-Own-Business program, an evolution of the brewery’s BYOB Courtyard. It gives small businesses a chance to start with low overhead, grow their brand and reach a built-in audience.
- Rolling Cigars: custom cigars
- Toasted Simple: simple syrups for cocktails
- Fields of Fidelis: lavender-based products
- Peridot Plants: DIY terrariums
- Hotel Ugly: handmade silver jewelry
- Stockyard Pantry: beef tallow-based products and oils
The lineup rotates as businesses grow and move out, so returning visitors can discover something new.
“You can park once and enjoy a whole day,” Katie Baker said. “Walk around, grab a drink, and discover something new every time.”
Drink, dine, discover TUPPS
“Whether it’s your first or tenth time, there’s always a new flavor, shop or enjoy an event,” Katie Baker said. “Come for the drinks, stay for the food, and leave with a day full of memories.”
