McKinney officials are considering an $880 million budget for FY 2026–27 and a property tax rate of $0.417876 per $100 valuation, up nearly 1.4% from last year. The budget would fund public safety, public works, parks, utilities and other city services. City Council is expected to vote on the budget and tax rate in September.
