The Samaritan Inn broke ground on a new pet kennel at its McKinney facility that will nearly triple its current capacity. The 1,244-square-foot space will house up to 28 pets and is expected to open in October.
The expansion supports the Inn’s mission by allowing residents to keep their pets while accessing housing and services—something many shelters do not offer. As the only transitional shelter in Collin County that accommodates pets, the new kennel helps remove a major barrier for individuals and families seeking support.
