After celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2025, the Bank is marking another milestone this year: 25 years of serving the McKinney community.
As a Chairman’s Circle member of the McKinney Chamber of Commerce, First United Bank represents the Chamber’s highest level of membership, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to the businesses, nonprofits and community partnerships that continue to shape McKinney’s future.

Over the past quarter century, First United Bank has helped finance commercial developments, supported local entrepreneurs, partnered with churches and nonprofit organizations, and provided mortgages for hundreds of families throughout the community. Today, the Bank continues to reinvest local deposits into local projects, businesses and neighborhoods, helping fuel McKinney’s continued growth.
Beyond banking, First United is deeply committed to community engagement through its purpose of inspiring and empowering others to Spend Life Wisely®. One example is the Bank’s Stagen Leadership Academy, a 13-week leadership development program that brings together business leaders, nonprofit executives, educators and community partners to build meaningful relationships and strengthen collaboration across McKinney. The Bank also partners with local schools to provide financial literacy education, offers budgeting classes through community organizations and sponsors Financial Peace University courses for local residents.
First United’s commitment to service is perhaps most visible through its annual Acts of Kindness initiative. In 2026, the campaign inspired more than 1.7 million acts of kindness worldwide, including more than 500,000 acts committed across McKinney ZIP codes, as local schools, neighborhoods, businesses and nonprofits joined together to serve the community.
“Our goal isn’t simply to grow as a bank,” Glazier said. “As we grow, we want to reinvest even more into McKinney through local lending, nonprofit partnerships and community development. The stronger our community becomes, the stronger we become together.”
