3. Tell us about your business: McCutchan Advisory is a boutique firm focused on delivering strategic tax solutions to help clients minimize both personal and business tax liabilities. We take a proactive approach, working closely with clients to identify opportunities for tax savings and long-term growth, while also offering bookkeeping, fractional CFO, and business consulting services tailored to each client’s needs. Utilizing a flexible remote working environment and modern tools, we meet our clients where they are with secure and efficient communication. Our team is committed to providing exceptional service by combining financial expertise with advanced technical knowledge to support informed decision-making and overall success.
4. Why are you an Ambassador? I joined the Ambassador program to help grow brand awareness when I first started the business. However, I enjoy seeing all the new businesses coming to McKinney and opening. It is a different experience from going to a business that I know the backstory of why they started. When you understand the heart behind a business, the whole interaction changes. You’re not just walking into a storefront; you’re stepping into someone’s vision, their risk, their passion. That connection makes the community feel smaller, warmer, and more intentional.
5. Tell us about your involvement in the Community: Giving back is a big part of who I am and what I strive to do. Not only do I give back by serving my clients and employees, but I also support many local non-profits. I am currently a board member of Boomerang Cares. Boomerang Cares’ vision of helping those in the community aligns with my values.
6. What are your hobbies? Cooking, spending time with family and friends, traveling, trying new restaurants, going to the farmers market and supporting small local businesses whenever possible.
7. Tell us a bit about yourself and your family: I’m 41, divorced, and a proud mom of two — a 20 year old daughter who’s married and recently made me a grandmother, and a 14 year old son who’s homeschooled and passionate about golf and video games. Our family also includes two amazing dogs, Buster and Mazzie, who bring so much joy to our home. Over the past year, our family has grown in the best ways with the addition of my son in law and my grandson. We’re in a season of life where we’re simply enjoying each other’s company, spending time together several times a week, and appreciating how our family continues to evolve.
