The Storehouse of Collin County
The Storehouse of Collin County provides those in need with food, clothing, and other resources. The organization has three main programs: Seven Loaves, a food pantry, Joseph’s Coat, a clothing closet, and Project Hope, which connects those in need with resources beyond food and clothing. Each of these programs offers volunteer opportunities. Volunteers for Seven Loaves focus on sorting and loading food. Volunteers for Joseph’s Coat focus on sorting and organizing clothes and setting up shopping appointments. Volunteers for Project Hope welcome and greet neighbors and help answer any questions they might have. You can sign up for any of these opportunities on their website.
Habitat for Humanity Collin County
Habitat for Humanity is a Christian-based organization that provides reliable housing for those in need. With the help of their volunteers, the organization has built over 228 homes in Collin County. Habitat for Humanity offers a variety of volunteer positions. Don’t worry if you don’t know your way around a construction site; there’s something for everyone.
