McKinney was the only government organization on the Top Large Companies list

McKINNEY, Texas (Nov. 6, 2023) – The City of McKinney is proud to announce its designation as a Top Workplace by The Dallas Morning News, which recognizes the top public, private, nonprofit, and government organizations in the Dallas-Fort Worth region.

“We know we have something special here at the City of McKinney: a dynamic culture, engaged employees, opportunities for growth and development, and the belief that leadership at all levels will help us flourish. This designation will help us share our story with those outside our organization,” said City Manager Paul Grimes.

The City of McKinney earned a prestigious spot among the 40 Top Large Companies and was the only government organization in the category. To determine the Top Workplaces, The Dallas Morning News surveyed employees from various organizations across the Dallas-Fort Worth area and assessed key factors such as company leadership, career opportunities, work-life balance, and employee engagement.

“The Top Workplace designation is a testament to the city’s ongoing efforts to create an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered,” said Joe Mazzola, Director of Organizational Development and Performance Management. “The City of McKinney prides itself on its inclusive and collaborative work environment, which encourages innovation and excellence. This recognition would not have happened without our excellent supervisors, managers, and department heads who helped to create McKinney’s winning culture.”

As a Top Workplace, the City of McKinney will remain committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment that fosters professional growth, personal development, and employee satisfaction.
