McKINNEY, Texas (SEPTEMBER 15, 2026) — As McKinney continues to grow, Trinity Falls is growing alongside it, with a focus that extends beyond building homes to creating a place where residents can connect with one another, enjoy nature and become part of the broader McKinney community.
Developed by Johnson Development, Trinity Falls is a Chairman’s Circle member of the McKinney Chamber of Commerce. The master-planned community reflects Johnson Development’s mantra of “building communities that celebrate life,” with an emphasis on amenity-rich living, sustainable development and planning for the future.
“We’re committed to the long-term success of Trinity Falls,” said Jerry Ulke, General Manager and Vice President of Trinity Falls. “Our goal is to create a community that continues to thrive for generations, with thoughtfully planned amenities and spaces that enrich the lives of residents well into the future.”
That long-term vision can be seen throughout the community. Trinity Falls partnered with the city on a fire station, allocated space for three schools and has developed infrastructure with McKinney’s continued growth in mind. One of the planned schools opened in 2023.
Nature and shared spaces are also central to the community, with approximately 350 acres of park space preserved within the development. Many of Trinity Falls’ amenities are open to the public, including nature trails, disc golf, splash pads, playgrounds and lakes where visitors can fish and kayak. Neighborhood retail, daycares and other services are also being incorporated to give residents more opportunities to meet everyday needs close to home.

“Our goal is to contribute to a community where people have the resources and connections to build the life they envision,” Ulke said.
That focus on connection extends beyond Trinity Falls itself. The community is the presenting sponsor of the McKinney Chamber’s new Community Compass initiative, which offers customizable tours of McKinney for prospective employees, relocating families, Realtors, business partners and others interested in getting to know the city. The program supports workforce recruitment and retention while helping participants experience McKinney’s neighborhoods, schools, businesses, amenities and quality of life firsthand.
“These tours move beyond brochures and talking points to show, not just tell, what makes McKinney special,” said C’Ella Clayton Director of Marketing for Trinity Falls. “When someone can experience the city’s energy, accessibility and intentional design firsthand, it leaves a lasting impression that data alone simply can’t achieve.”

Building community also means creating opportunities for people to come together. Trinity Falls hosts more than 75 resident events each year and regularly invites local food trucks, vendors and small businesses to participate. Public events such as its annual 5K and Tour of Trees bring thousands of people into the community each year, creating additional opportunities to connect visitors with local businesses and organizations.
Giving back has become another part of that community-building approach. Since 2020, Trinity Falls has contributed approximately $200,000 to nonprofits. Through its Project Community initiative, the development donated $250 from each home purchase to one of four participating nonprofits selected by the homebuyer, ultimately generating more than $30,000 for local organizations.
That work continues through partnerships with local schools, nonprofits and the McKinney Chamber. To kick off the summer the Trinity Falls Trail Day 5K supported three nonprofit organizations while providing space for approximately 35 local vendors to participate. The community has also partnered with schools on scholarship programs.

For Clayton, involvement with the Chamber has helped Trinity Falls strengthen those connections and establish how it wanted to participate in the larger McKinney community.
“The Chamber played an important role in helping us become connected to the community and understand how we could best contribute,” Clayton said. “Through our involvement, we’ve built meaningful relationships with local schools, organizations and community leaders that have helped us become an engaged partner in McKinney.”
Trinity Falls itself continues to grow, with more than 1,700 additional homes planned across new sections. Its Del Webb active adult community is also expanding with a new amenity center and additional homes.
As new residents arrive, Trinity Falls is focused on maintaining the amenities, connections and sense of community that have shaped the development so far, while creating a place designed to remain part of McKinney for generations to come.
