Downtown McKinney is a beautiful area bursting with life, creativity, delicious food and drinks, and unique sights to see.
We visited Historic Downtown McKinney and captured 10 photos that showcase just a few of the things the square has to offer.
The Downtown Square is full of unique architecture and murals. With buildings dating back to the 1800s, the unique craftsmanship of the buildings adds a certain historical charm to the area.
A few of these buildings have even been converted into new businesses and cultural centers from old courthouses, prisons, and banks. Recently, several buildings in the area have been covered with eye-catching murals that showcase the local talent in McKinney.
There is even a small neighborhood of the oldest homes in McKinney called Chestnut Village. These homes date back to the founding of McKinney and visitors can enjoy the sights or visit on Saturday morning to attend the farmer’s market that takes place in Chestnut Village. From charming murals to old architecture, and historic homes, Downtown McKinney has plenty of delightful things to see.
