Dozens of bands took the stage on Friday as the KHYI’s Texas Music Revolution kicked off in downtown McKinney.
The two-day festival runs Friday and Saturday in Historic Downtown McKinney.
The big headline for Friday’s shows was Wade Bowen, an American Texas Country/Red Dirt singer from Waco who started off in the West 84 band which turned into Wade Bowen and West 84. Other big names on Friday included Jack Ingram, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and Summer Dean.
Saturday's headliner is Old Crow Medicine Show, an American string band based in Nashville. They have played at top performing stages and received a Grammy for their 2014 Folk Album, Remedy. Other big names on Saturday include Hayes Carll, Junior Brown, and Kaitlin Butts.
