Texas officials released a draft state water plan projecting $174 billion in investments over the next 50 years to help prevent future water shortages and prepare for severe drought conditions. The proposal includes 3,000 water projects and 6,700 strategies to expand water supplies through 2080 as population growth and water demand continue to rise.
