Who should get one, and when
The CDC recommends a yearly flu shot for most people 6 months and older. It’s especially worth a conversation if you’re 65 or older, managing a chronic condition, or caring for grandkids or an older parent.
Fall is the time to get it, ideally before flu starts spreading widely in our area. It takes about two weeks after the shot for your body to build protection.
