McKinney City Council voted to name a future Towne Lake Park dog park after Bob Tomes, known as “Mr. McKinney.” Designs are nearly complete, with construction set for early 2026. Tomes, who passed away in 2024, was a decorated veteran, business owner, and philanthropist. Mayor Bill Cox said he “gave his heart and soul to McKinney.”
