Plans for a dog park and other amenities at McKinney’s Towne Lake Park could transform a nearly 47 acre site that also includes the McKinney Senior Recreation Center and other city facilities. The dog park would include shade structures and three separate yards. Project plans require approval of a rezoning request, unanimously recommended by the McKinney Planning and Zoning Commission at a Feb. 25 meeting, but final action on the item is expected to come from the McKinney City Council.
